Once a month, a specially curated art box is made up comprising of special artistic features. Showcasing some artists through the ages, technique, composition or medium.

Each box generally includes:

• Canvas/Specific art paper
• Pencils/Charcoal
• Paint brushes
• Paints (It may be either of the following Oil, Acrylic or Water colours)
• Info pack and step by step guide of featured subject
• + Extra Surprise gift

FIRST art box includes the following items:

  • 4 Paints (3 primary colours + white)
  • 2-3 Paint brushes
  • Easel
  • + All other items required for that month’s theme box

  • 2 Paints (Colours will vary, this is to help build up your art supplies, though some colours may be repeated, as they may be used more frequently, we do try to mix this up)

Frequently Asked Questions

Every month, a new theme is explored, and all materials will be provided in order for you to create this particular piece of artwork. Because of this, some box items may vary slightly. As a baseline though, all art boxes will contain paints, brushes and canvas/art paper as needed. Additionally, an information booklet with the theme and how to guide is provided.  All first art boxes will have the primary colours and white paint included.

If on subscription, all art boxes are sent by the 20th of the month and should arrive within the first week of next month.

If a once off box, and ordered before the 20th of the month, you can expect the box to arrive within the first week of the next month or sooner if possible. Period between 20th -28th of the month, we cannot guarantee the first week of the next month delivery, however will try our very best to make this happen so you can begin your art journey sooner than later.

Any first-time art box orders after the 28th of that month, your order will be for the following months Art box theme.

Though we will try to accommodate special requests, at times this may not be possible. Please contact us directly urustudio.ct@gmail.com to see if this feasible.  Sometimes, we will have previous art box themes available again if very popular. Keep a look out in your emails too.

If you have chosen a 3 month or more subscription, we try to provide you with more colours and brush choices, so you can grow your own art studio at home without having too many of the same thing. Though from time to time, there will be duplicates and that’s ok, we note some colours are used more and may require replenishing.

If you have chosen a 3 month or more subscription, you will need to commit for the full term. However, you can pause your subscription for one month if needed (applicable for 3-month, 6 month and 12-month plans). Please contact us directly on urustudio.ct@gmail.com for this. We do not do any refunds on the already sent art boxes. We will send you a reminder as well when your subscription is coming to an end and provide more details on the cancellation of this should you wish not to continue.

Not at all. The art boxes are created for inspiration and as such, what you create may turn out very different to what is shown as a final piece. The art box is a guide which covers different themes and encourages you to explore ideas which may spark your creativity in a certain direction. I encourage to please share your final results with us on our Instagram page, tag us and use #URUStudio #URU as well.

How Does It Work

1. Choose Frequency

Simply choose the art box kit featured for that month as either of the following:

  • Once off buy
  • 3-month subscription
  • 6-month subscription
  • 12-month subscription

Once off buy

Please note, all once off buys of art boxes purchased will include the FIRST Box items listed of that monthly theme.

Monthly Subscriptions

Please note all monthly subscription art boxes will include, the FIRST art box contents, thereafter art boxes will include only 2 paints and 2-3 brushes as described in All other art boxes inclusions list.

2. Pay for your goodies

We will be packing your order with that month’s theme. (Please refer to FAQ if boxes are ordered after the 28th of that month)
